On the Land is the magazine for anyone interested in forming a deeper and more sustainable connection with their food, land and resources. With a focus on permaculture, regenerative agriculture, homesteading, community sufficiency and environmentalism, On the Land is designed to inspire and inform, showing readers ways to live sustainable lives on rural properties, while providing a place for them to connect with a vibrant community of like-minded people.

2. What makes On The Land magazine special, and why should the people of Aotearoa read it? 

On the Land is a solutions-focused magazine, designed to bring people inspiration and hope, while showing them ways to grow food and use resources in the best possible way. Whether it’s a story about keeping house cows for homegrown raw milk, backyard beekeeping, or restoring wetlands through reforestation, every issue is packed with useful and enchanting content that’s bound to make you want to get your hands in the soil.

The magazine designed to be an immersive experience, providing a window into spectacular corners of Aotearoa, while giving you that all-important break from the screen.

3. What is your favourite type of article to edit for the magazine?

My favourite article to edit are usually the features I write myself, as I get to be a part of the whole storytelling process and perfect the craft, while doing the best job for the story subject.

On the Land is built on high-quality writing and beautiful images, so ultimately editing the whole magazine is an incredible pleasure and a beautiful experience.

Time to go back to the land!
